The Disciple's Path DEVO - Day 18

Day 18: Serving with a Christ-Centered Focus

Read Romans 16:25-27

As Paul lists names in Romans 16, he acknowledges fellow believers who have served with him. Priscilla and Aquila are highlighted as “co-workers in Christ Jesus.” Paul’s commendation shows us that service within the church isn’t about personal agendas or recognition—it’s about keeping Christ at the center of everything we do. Their work was marked by a single focus: glorifying Jesus.

When we put Christ at the center of our service, we find unity with others who share that same focus. Instead of competing for praise or recognition, we work together to further God’s kingdom. Serving in ministry isn’t about what we gain but about lifting up Christ in everything we do, letting His love, grace, and truth shine through our work.

Reflect:
How can you keep Christ as the focus of your service, especially when you feel discouraged or unnoticed?

Pray:
Lord Jesus, help me to keep You at the center of my work and service. Let my actions point others to You and not to myself. Amen.
