Day 16: Created to Serve  

Read Romans 12:4-8  

In Romans 12, Paul describes the church as a body with many parts, each one with a unique purpose. No part is the same, and none is insignificant. God designed us to be interdependent, each contributing our unique abilities to serve one another. Serving isn’t an optional activity for believers—it’s essential to who we are as members of Christ’s body.  

Sometimes, we feel like our gifts don’t matter, or we question whether our contributions are truly needed. But imagine if a body ignored one hand or neglected a foot. It wouldn’t function fully. When each of us embraces our part in God’s work, the church becomes healthier, more complete, and far more effective in advancing the gospel. Every role, every act of service, strengthens the body of Christ.

What unique gift or talent has God given you to serve the body of Christ? How might He be calling you to use it?  

Pray:
Lord, thank You for creating me to be part of Your body. Show me how I can serve in ways that build up others. Teach me to see the value in each person’s role, including my own. Amen.
