Dumpster Fire DEVO - Day 15

Day 15: Trusting God’s Control

Read:
Jeremiah 29:12-14

God promised the Jewish exiles that they would find Him if they sought him. Even in the middle of their exile, God was close. He hadn’t forgotten them, and He won’t forget us either. When we trust God with what we can’t control, we open ourselves to a new freedom - and peace. I don’t have to pretend the world needs my control. I’m also free to discover God’s purpose which is always better than my plan.

God is always working for our good, even when we can’t see it. He calls us to trust Him completely, to let go of our need for control, and to believe that He knows what He’s doing—even in the hardest moments.

REFLECT

Where do you need to let go and trust that God is in control? How can you seek God in your current situation?

PRAY

Lord, I surrender my need for control and trust that You are working in ways I cannot see. Help me seek You with all my heart and rest in Your care. Amen.
