On the Road Again - DAY 50

Day 50: Comfort in Christ

Read: 2 Corinthians 1:3-4

Jesus warns us that our favorite comforts can become our biggest blind spots. However, he also offers us a greater comfort—himself. In 2 Corinthians, Paul reminds us that God is the “Father of compassion and the God of all comfort,” who comforts us in all our troubles so that we can comfort others with the comfort we receive from Him.

When we make Jesus our greatest comfort, we can see more clearly and act more compassionately. By placing our trust and hope in Him, we can overcome our blind spots and live lives that reflect His love and mercy.

REFLECT
In what ways can you seek comfort in Christ instead of worldly comforts? How can this shift help you to better see and respond to the needs around you?

PRAY
Lord Jesus, be my greatest comfort in life and death. Help me to rely on You and to see clearly how I can serve and love others. Guide me to live a life that reflects Your compassion and mercy. Amen.
