Day 29: Repentance and Renewal
Read 2 Peter 3:9
“The Lord is not slow in keeping his promise, as some understand slowness. Instead he is patient with you, not wanting anyone to perish, but everyone to come to repentance.â€
God gives us lots of second chances! That’s why the Bible is so long: God patiently walks beside Israel after their many missteps, calling them back to faithfulness again. God’s patience gives us the opportunity to repent and renew our commitment to Him. Instead of focusing on others’ sins, we need to look at our own hearts and seek God’s forgiveness and renewal.
REFLECT
How have you experienced God’s patience in your life? What areas do you need to repent and seek renewal?
PRAY
Father, thank You for Your patience with me. Help me to repent and renew my commitment to You. Teach me to focus on my own heart and growth. Amen.
