Day 12: Belonging is God’s Idea
Read: Romans 12:4-5
Before we even consider how to build community, we must understand that belonging isn’t just a human desire but a divine design. Acts 8 shows us that God has always been about inviting people into his family. When Philip encounters the Ethiopian eunuch, it’s clear that God orchestrated this meeting to show that everyone is meant to belong. The eunuch was searching for answers, and Philip’s guidance helped him find his place in God’s story. This story reminds us that belonging is God’s idea, rooted in his love for all people. We’re invited to be part of a diverse and united body, each with a role to play in God’s family.
Reflect:
How does knowing that belonging is God’s idea change the way you see your role in the church? Who in your life needs to know they belong to God’s family?
Pray:
Lord, thank you for designing me to belong to your body. Help me to live in a way that invites others into your community. Use me to make your love known. Amen.
