On the Road Again - DAY 60

Day 60: Desperation and Dependence

Read:
1 Peter 5:6-7

In 1 Peter 5:6-7, we are reminded to “humble yourselves, therefore, under God’s mighty hand, that he may lift you up in due time. Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you.” This passage aligns perfectly with Jesus’s teachings on prayer in Luke 18. We are encouraged to come before God with a humble heart, casting all our worries and anxieties on Him, knowing that He cares for us deeply.

Our prayers should reflect a holy desperation—an urgent need for God’s intervention in our lives, coupled with a deep trust in His care. Whether we are in a moment of crisis or simply seeking guidance, we can approach God with the assurance that He is ready and willing to help us. Our dependence on Him is not a sign of weakness, but a testament to His faithfulness.

REFLECT:
Are you willing to cast all your anxieties on God? How can you develop a greater sense of dependence on His care in your prayer life?

PRAY:
Lord, I cast all my anxieties on You, trusting in Your care for me. Help me to approach You with humility and dependence, knowing that You are faithful. Amen.
