On the Road Again - DAY 58

Day 58: The Power of Mercy

Read:
Hebrews 4:16

Hebrews 4:16 encourages us to “approach God’s throne of grace with confidence, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help us in our time of need.” This echoes the message of Jesus’s parables: we can pray boldly because God’s mercy is abundant and available to us. We don’t approach God based on our own merits but on His grace and compassion.

The widow’s persistence and the tax collector’s humility both highlight the importance of relying on God’s mercy in prayer. We can approach God with confidence, not because we deserve anything, but because He is a loving Father who desires to help us. His mercy is our foundation, giving us the courage to pray with boldness.

REFLECT:
How does knowing that God’s mercy is always available to you change the way you pray? Are you confident in approaching God’s throne of grace?

PRAY:
Lord, thank You for Your mercy that allows me to come before You with confidence. Help me to trust in Your grace and to pray boldly. Amen.
