Day 45: Celebrating Homecomings
Read Luke 15:10
Jesus concludes the Parable of the Lost Coin by saying, “In the same way, I tell you, there is rejoicing in the presence of the angels of God over one sinner who repents.” This highlights the immense joy in heaven over each person who returns to God.
As followers of Christ, we are called to share in this joy. We should celebrate every homecoming, every return to God, with the same enthusiasm as the angels in heaven. Our love for homecomings should mirror the love God has for each of His children. This celebration is a testament to God’s boundless mercy and the transformative power of His love. Heaven loves homecomings - and so should we.

How can you actively celebrate and encourage others in their journey back to God? What steps can you take to create a welcoming environment for those seeking to return?

Father, fill my heart with joy for every person who returns to You. Help me to create a welcoming and celebratory environment for all who seek You. Amen.
