YOUTH SUMMER CAMP UPDATE:
SCHOLARSHIPS, DONATIONS & VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES

Quest Friends,
THANK YOU for your camping scholarship support! We have reached 70% of our goal toward sending 10 students to Epworth Journey On Camp in July! Quest Youth appreciates your generosity and your heart for our students. If you wanted to contribute financially, but haven't had the opportunity to do so yet, we still have another week to collect scholarships. These can be brought to worship and given to Angel, placed in our offering box- or you can give online. Full camping scholarships are $285. Half scholarships are $142.50. Each donation must be specifically marked as a camping scholarship.

If you're open to giving in other ways as we send our teens to camp, I have two very specific opportunities for you!

First, we need DRIVERS.
These drivers would not stay at camp, but rather, would help transport a handful of youth in their car, either to or from camp. We would treat you to lunch with us and would pay for your gasoline. Above all, this is a wonderful way to get to know our Quest teens and to see the camp that we send our students to first hand! Drivers are needed on:Monday, July 17 (departure 9:30am, from Quest) and Friday, July 21 (departure from Epworth Camp, Greenville, 11:30am). It's exactly 2 hours one way from the church.
Securing drivers is our biggest camp need at this point!!!

Second, each year, students at camp go through TONS of snacks! If you are willing to donate snacks, please bring them to church on Sunday mornings, (through the second week of July), and place them in the designated box next to our camp display in the lobby. Snack donations can also be dropped off at the Taylors!
Needed items include:
  •  Individual, full size candies. Student favorites include: Sweet Tart Ropes, M&M's (all kinds), Snickers, Skittles, Starbursts, Tootsie Roll Pops, Slim Jims, Sour Patch Kids, Ring Pops, etc. These kinds of treats can be picked up in the candy isle at the Dollar Tree, or in bulk at WalMart.
  • Individually wrapped snacks: Cheese Its, Cookies, Mini Muffins, Fruit Snacks, etc. The sky is the limit!
  • Drinks: Water bottles, Gatorade, Hug Barrels, Canned Soda, Capri Suns.

Thank you again for loving our teens so well.
Here's to a great week of camp!

YOUTH SUMMER CAMP SCHOLARSHIPS

Epworth Journey On Camp is for students 6th-12th grade. Sleep in bunks next to friends! Experience great worship with Harvest Ministry Worship Band! Receive the Word of God in a way that's spoken specifically for students. Have tons of fun throughout the day with various activities: swimming, zip lining, paddle boats, canoes, kayaking, gaga ball, basketball, volleyball, nine square, carpetball, ultimate frisbee.

Epworth Jr/ Sr High Camp is a UMC camp that provides students an opportunity to get away- to focus on their relationship with God and to build strong Christian friendships with the students and with students from other churches throughout the Illinois Great Rivers Conference. Quest students are welcome to invite friends along to camp with them. They would room together in a cabin, and with a couple other students from our group.

Camp is so much fun for everyone! And, High School students even experience a little "extra," during the evening "Afterglow" time. After "lights out" for the younger campers, high schoolers gather together with camp counselors and Harvest worship team for fun games, sweet treats and late night devos!

Interested in making a donation to camp scholarships?
