"A Life Worth Living”
Scripture: Psalm 23
Starting this Sunday, we begin our sermon series, "Sermons You Always Wanted to Hear." This series will take us to the end of August. The topics, scriptures for this series come from questions of those within the congregation. This is an opportunity to hear a sermon maybe you have never heard, or one you always wanted to hear a sermon about.
For our first sermon in the series the request is for a sermon on Psalm 23. The question was, "Is there a modern way of hearing Psalm 23 with a new perspective?" Great question.
We've heard this scripture since we were young in sermons, at funerals. and times of comfort. Most of us know it well and love it.
The 23rd Psalm is most familiar and popular in the King James Version. In our own time, how can we glean new insights for today from this beloved Psalm?
Please read it this week prior to service and write down your own interpretation, as we delve into the imagery of the Lord as our Shepherd.
Let's ask the good questions of the text.
What does it mean and look like for the Lord to be our Shepherd? Pray for God to reveal as you read what it means for you personally and what it means for the body of Christ.
I am looking forward to this series and hope you are as well.
It's not too late to submit your request.
