I THIRST: JESUS AS THE BREAD OF LIFE
March 1, 2026
Scripture: John 6:35-40
On this second week of Lent, we are reading from the Gospel of John 6:35-40, as he declares, “I am the bread of life.” This is one of the I am scriptures that provides the vivid imagery of Jesus as providing life giving hope to all who believe.
Our spiritual hunger and thirst is only in our relationship with God through the Son. This is why he was sent. This is why he came. To do His Father’s will.
What does he provide? Eternal life for those who believe.
Do you thirst for the bread of life? It’s available, and ready for you! A table set before you.
Will you come? Will you surrender?
“Whoever comes to me shall not hunger, and whoever believes in me shall never thirst.”
