"New Wineskins: Embracing Change"

Luke 5:35-39.

The word change is often uncomfortable when we hear it. To change means, I may need to walk into new territory, examine a new reality and embrace something brand new, walking faith and not sight. We live in a world that is constantly changing and that is not all bad. Because if we are not growing, changing, and being challenged, we can become so comfortable and unbending, that we can miss what God may be trying to do in our lives. All of us have experienced things we wish would not change. However, if nothing ever changes we very well may be stagnating, missing new opportunities for God to speak into our lives, the life of His Church, with real breakthroughs in becoming the person or church God is calling each of us into.

This week, we explore in Luke 5, the challenge of change and newness of life. Will we embrace it or dig in and choose not to follow God in a new adventure? It's up to us!
